Blame it on your kids 2

My mother, father, brother and I went on a trip to Åbo in Finland by ferry. We had a cabin and my father noticed a button which he pressed but nothing happened.  After a couple of minutes there was a knock on the cabindoor. My father opened it and it was a guard who asked him what the emergency was as we had pressed the emergency button. My father got embarrassed and said: Oh, I am sorry it was my kids who pressed the button....

The best service I have ever had at a restaurant Kali Kardia Lardos Rhodes

In a small village at Rhodes near Lardos well rather near as we walked from Lardos it took us about 15-20 minutes to get there. We walked several times this long walk with a small kid just for the great homecooked food. The family was fantastic so welcoming and friendly. So one evening we had walked again in the heat and the chef made us faboulous food and when we had eaten he even drove us back to the hotel and left the restaurant just for us. That´s what I call service!!!!

Good heart = good food

My colleague´s toiletpaper tail

One day at the office...a very glam colleague of mine had just been visiting the ladies to "powder her nose". She was always immaculate and had always makeup and beautiful clothes. She walked out of the ladies and something did not look right. Under her skirt and nylon stockings a long string of toilet paper hanged out like a white tail flying in the air. Everyone were looking into their computer screens but I noticed this error so I hurried up to her and whispered in her ear about the little "accident". She quickly pulled the toilet paper out of her stockings and got all red in her face and thanked me. Oops....

Really out of season!?

My daughter had a whole day of outdoor exercise at her school and they were supposed to go sledding (åka pulka). When they arrived to their final destination there were no snow so sledding was out of question. So, what did the teachers suggest the 28th of January...rope skipping!? Really!? In winter with big baggy clothes a full day!??? What were they thinking?

Blame it on the kid....

My family had visited some relatives and we were all standing in the hallway putting on our jackets as it was time to go. Then...the unthinkable happens a loud long fart explodes in the hallway. My father asked me loudly: - But what did you do!?
It was not me it was my father and I replied: - It wans´t me it was you!
All infront of our relatives...while the bad smell filled the hallway.
So in the car back home I complained. Dad how could you blame me when it was you!

Do I look like my father´s girlfriend???

My cousin was having a birthday party and he had a new girlfriend who I had not met.  I arrived with my father, mother and my boyfriend. For some reason my boyfriend and my mother walked far behind me and my father so we arrived before them and we were greeted by my cousin and his new girlfriend. We shook hands and she said:
- So you are the uncle and aunt?
- Eh, no I am his daughter.

Come on....Really!? There is an age difference of 37 years!
I did not take that as a compliment!!!!

If you talk too much this can happen!

I was going to have a blood test and being me I just talked and talked  with the nurse. We had a great time even if it was not so great to have a syringe in my arm...well the nurse said OK that was it and pulled the syringe out of my arm. Suddenly she said: - Oh, no! I forgot a tube! We have to take some more blood. I am so sorry. So, she had to take blood from my other arm. I guess I had distracted her so it was my own fault. So I left the doctor´s with two injured arms and not just one. I must stop talk so much!

Poo tan

Imagine a wonderful beach in Greece. I am swimming in the ocean in the beautiful sea. Suddenly I saw a something strange light brown and bubbly sludge in the water. Oh no it is poo! I quickly walked out of the water passing a man going into the water. I said: It is poo in the water. He looked and said yes it is and he also left the water. After my swim in poo I wanted to leave but I saw the same man go back into the water with his daughter! Is he out of his mind!? Later we heard that it was a yacht who had dumped their toilet in the sea. So quick home and having a shower so I just have my tan and not the poo tan...

It really hurts!

I was going to the doctor´s for a blood test. The nurse pushed the needle into my arm and it really hurt. It really hurt! She must have pushed into a nerve. I just complained and complained I could not stop as it hurt so much. So, I held my other hand over the pain in my arm and I said: It hurts it hurts. I couldn´t stop. I continued complaining loudly that it hurts in the waiting room so if there was a person who was afraid of needles I must really have scared them. I had a pain in my arm for a week. This nurse is never ever going to touch me again!

The blip

My first day back from my holiday and I had an appointment with the doctor´s in the morning before I was going to work. I do not remember exactly why I had to go to the doctor but he listened to my heart and checked my blood pressure and then made an ECG check of my heart. He then said he had ordered an ambulance for me who will take you to the hospital as your ECG is not normal. What? I was shocked. I came to check something else and now my heart is not well!?  So I had to phone my manager and say that I was not coming in the first day and that I was waiting for an ambulance. What a first day at work!!!!! I had to phone my husband who also had his first day at work and he stopped working and came to the hospital. It turned out that I have an extra heart blip which is not dangerous.
So my first working day was spent at the hospital due to a blip.

Welcome to Italy!?

So, we booked a hotel in Alassio, Italy but we realised as after booking it on www.booking.com that it might not have an extra bed. So we phoned the hotel immediately after booking and the hotel confirmed that we could not book an extra bed through booking.com but if we cancelled the booking they could book an extra bed...we cancelled and decided to book another hotel. I then after a couple of days noticed that one electrical bill had bounced due to lack of funds/money on my account. The hotel we cancelled right after we had booked it had taken 1744 SEK from my account. Reserved them so I could not use them. They paid back after 10 days. Then we checked another website www.venere.com an Italian site and we found a hotel with three beds. We booked it and got a confirmation. Then 20 days later they send us an email saying that there has been a technical problem and that the confirmation we had received was not valid. It looks like it is our fate not to travel to Italy...

What popped out from my eye?

One day I got a pain in my eye. I felt that something had got stuck in there but I could not get it out. I tried liquid and rubbing but it was no use. I had this pain for a week sometimes better sometimes worse. I decided to go to a doctor as this is not normal. In the morning I bent down and I felt "the ting" coming out. I catched it with my finger and it was a small black hair stray and it was my husbands hair! It was his fault I had pain for a week! How on earth did I get it to my eye???

Where is the laptop? Flying in the air!

I just started a new job as an assistant and I met one of my new managers. The first day he gave me a difficult task to solve. He had lost his laptop while travelling. I thinks he pushed the laptop in between the seats of the aeroplane. If that was the case it could be anywhere in the world if not discovered and if discovered someone could have stolen it. So, I started to make some phone calls. I phone the airport in Oslo and the airport in Stockholm and they did not have it and I phone the next day. Then the Stockholm airports lost and found said they had that kind of laptop. The laptop was indeed found between two seats after it had travelled a couple of times between Oslo and Stockholm. After figuring out that this must be the managers laptop I told him to go to the airport and get it. He returned and was overjoyed as he had 6 months of unsaved work on it. He bought me an expensive bottle of champagne as thank you.

To be a substitute teacher is really tricky....

A girl of 13-years old lost her mother to cancer in my daughter´s class. The next day the girl went to school to get the comfort from her classmates and friends. The girls came late to class due to that they had comforted her and their ordinary teacher was off sick so they had a substitute teacher. He asked them why are you late? The girls responded truthfully that they had comforted their classmate due to that her mother passed away. The teacher replied: - You should not joke and lie about serious things like that. One girl responded: - But we are not lying. The girl who lost her mother said: - It is true I lost my mother yesterday. - The teacher said: -Come on do you expect me to believe that!? - One girl said: - Go to the headmaster and ask. The other kids in the classroom got upset with the teacher and shouted out: - How can you say that!? It is tough to be a teacher and it is tough to get it so wrong during these serious circumstances that do happen in life. I feel so sorry for the girl who lost her mum to have to be in such surrealistic situation. Who said life is easy?

My name is Baoa

When I was around 16-18 years old we had a one-year older boy in our class. He looked just like everyone else and maybe that was a problem to him or something else had inspired him as one day he should up looking totally different. He had coloured his dull hair all black and cut it in different shapes and shaved different parts off and had a small Mohawk right at the front of his forehead. Not only that he now dressed exclusively in black and sometimes mixed with red in baggy clothes. Not only that he also put make up on his face. The face all white and round his eyes filled them with all black like a panda and his lips all black and his cheeks with black rouge. So he looked like a skull. Further more he told the teachers and his classmates that his new name was Baoa! This is how he looked for the rest of the time I knew him. I have Heard that he today is back to his normal self. I really wonder what could have triggered him to totally change not only outfit but also his name???

My worst New Year celebration ever.....

When I lived in London with my fiancee we were going to celebrate New Year at a local restaurant called Footlights in Wimbledon. We had not lived in the UK for long and we did now know anybody else. So, we dressed up put on make up (well I did) and walked to the restaurant. It looked really dark but we saw a man at the entrance. We explained that we had booked a table. He said that he was sorry but there will be no dinner as they had problems with the electricity. You must be joking!? No it is not a joke we are really sorry. OK so what were we supposed to do!? We walked up and down the main street like idiots and asked the other restaurants if they had a table to offer us. We felt really stupid to go around in the last minute but what were we supposed to do!? We found nothing. We had no food at home and no stores were opened. We checked KFC Kentucky Fried Chicken and we actually got their last food. We carried our chicken wings home and our Cokes/Coca colas and we ended up sitting on the floor watching TV. Happy New Year!

A message from the other side? Nr 2

I was talking on the phone with my cousin and her mother had passed away and we were talking about her mother. Suddenly a knocking was heard on the door to my room. I opened the door but there were no one there. I shouted out to my family. Come on stop this nonsense. It is not a funny joke! Then I heard my mother and by brother from the top floor saying that they were watching TV and they did not know what I was talking about and my dad was not at home. I was on the floor below them alone. So suddenly this got rather scary. I told her how the knocking sounded and she started to cry and said that this is exactly the way her mother used to knock on her door. Really spooky!!!

Peekaboo

I was in a hotel and the hotel sales manager was showing me and 4 other women (total 5 women) the different kind of rooms they had to offer. So, when we came to a room the manager always knocked on the door just in case someone was in the room but as they had already checked with the reception the rooms should be empty.  She opened the door and oups a man was standing in the hallway! He said: - Oh, have you also got a key to this room!? He saw all those women trying to barge into the room. I do not know if this was a pleasnt surprise or not but the manager quickly excused herself and closed the door. We started to laugh and the manager said that this was the first time this had happened. I explained that it was my fault as always when I am involved something really strange happens.

The day one of my colleagues disappeared

I was having lunch and when I returned to work there was a very strange feeling in the air in the office. Something was not right. I was very soon to find out what had happened when I was out for lunch. My colleagues told me that the police had shown up and arrested one of my colleagues. I thought to myself is this a joke? Soon enough I realised it was true.
Eh, OK why did they arrest him...?
His desk was empty and it was just as he had left it. Soon we got the full picture. We had access to customers credit card details and someone in the office had been printing them out and sold the details to people who had bought computers and so on. This was found out by the company´s security and this was put under surveillance by one of our colleagues who checked all of us = who took the printed papers from the printer. So, I was a suspect! Well, at least for a while. As I remember taking my own printouts and I saw these printouts and I didn´t really think so much about them. Luckily I did not take one by mistake! Then I really would be under suspicion. Well, my colleague got prison for fraud and he never returned to work. That was the day my colleague disapperad.

The last place you want to have a creep...

Summer, birds and bees and dangerous creep. We spent some summer days on an Island called Muskö, in the Swedish archipelago. A relative of mine he had to pee and the quickest and easiest way to do that was in the nature. He was standing in the high grass to hide himself. Later that evening he discovered a black spot on the tip of his his ding dong. It turned out to be a blood sucking tick. His parents took him to the hospital and he returned with a dead tick in a little bag. I felt really sorry for him.

Everyone had to know about the lady´s health problem

I was travelling on a train with booked seats. An older lady was sitting a couple of rows away from me but it seems like she was not used to talk in a cellular phone or she had bad hearing as she spoke really loud so everyone in the same carriage/waggon heard hear. Well, she talked to someone and explain loudly that she had problems with her peeing. After a while she hung up and then she dialled someone else and she began again explaining in detail about her problems peeing. She continued teh whole trip. I saw how the other passengers started to sigh and tried to ignore her. When we all arrived to the end destination we all ran towards the doors to get off the train as soon as we could now being expert on all kinds of peeing problems....

A close encounter with a wild dog

When my daughter was two years old we were walking down the street and she was wearing a pink jacket with a hood. A stray dog walked passed us and suddenly I heard my tiny daughter scream. The dog had turned around and started to pull her hood. I chased the dog away. I lot of questions were spinning around in my head. -Why did the dog do that? And what would it have done next if I wasn´t there? Really scary!

Do not tell anyone you are looking for a job...

A relative of mine was looking for a job and she was invited for a job interview. She told two ladies at her current job that she was going and which company it was. At the interview the manager said:
- We have had an anonymous phone call regarding you. This person also told us a lot of negative things about you and that we should not hire you.
So folks, do not tell anyone at your current job that you are looking for a job....it could backfire as there are some really evil people put there. As far as I know she did not get the job either.

Really awkward moment....

I was travelling with a long distance train and a woman sat down in front of me. She was crying. Beside me and her there were two men. None of us knew each others. It was really horrible to have a woman crying just opposite and so close to me (half a meter) and I could not do anything and no one said anything. So, I went to the cafeteria in the train and bought her something to drink and eat a chocolate bar. I gave her the gift and she just responded: - No thanks. When it was time for her to get off the train she leaned forward and said: - Thank you so much for caring. Then she left.
