Knock knock who´s there???

When we lived in Hounslow, London we were living in a townhouse. Our closest neighbours were a lot of men living together. It turned out that the owner of the apartment had moved abroad to South Africa and now a bunch of men had taken over the flat. It seems like someone was supposed to guard the apartment and take care of it but I guess it was tempting to earn some rent on it. Anyway we thought it was strange with so many men coming and going. They had also a nice car with Arabic registration plates parked outside which we think was the missing owner´s car. One day it knocked on my door and I opened the door. There was no one there. Then it knocked again. I opened the door. Outside was a young lady who was high on something. She asked me: - Where is the nearest supermarket?  Eh, well I explained it to her and she just left without even saying thank you. After a couple of weeks it knocked don my door. It was the bailiff (kronofogden) well not looking for
me but the neighbours. They asked me if anyone was home and so on. No one answered the door. The bailiff returned and then someone did open the door. The man was alone at home and they asked him if he was living there. He said no. They reached someone on a cellular phone and the bailiff said that you need to be out in two days as the rent has not been paid. So after two days a police and the bailiff arrived and they broke up the door and took everything except the car and loaded it on a truck. They changed the locks too. Late that night we heard some noise from the backyard. Someone broke into the neighbour´s house. That was scary! We did not phone the police. I really do not know why we did not. The next day we saw that it was the men who had broken into the apartment. Well it did not take long until they were thrown out again and a nice couple moved in. Hopefully without getting a late night visit by 7 men!
