Really awkward moment....

I was travelling with a long distance train and a woman sat down in front of me. She was crying. Beside me and her there were two men. None of us knew each others. It was really horrible to have a woman crying just opposite and so close to me (half a meter) and I could not do anything and no one said anything. So, I went to the cafeteria in the train and bought her something to drink and eat a chocolate bar. I gave her the gift and she just responded: - No thanks. When it was time for her to get off the train she leaned forward and said: - Thank you so much for caring. Then she left.
