I cannot open my windows!

We are now proud owners of a newly painted beautiful house. The sun is shining and we wanted to open a window for some fresh air. What!? I cannot open the window! Oh no, the painters have forgotten to close the metallic window clips-hook (fönsterhake)  in an upright position which means that I cannot open all the 8 windows on the second floor. As the hooks obstruct the window. The windows are too high up in the air so I cannot so anything. I contacted the painting company and they were quickly here to fix it. So now we can open our windows again. Isn´t that just typical that it had to be my house they forgot it on? I am just asking myself this...I mean really!?
